Visit by Vice President of Brazil’s Federal Court of Accounts

On 31 August 2023, the Vice President of Brazil’s Federal Court of Accounts (TCU), Minister Vital do Rego Filho, visited AGO. He was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Ms Claudia Regina Bezerra Jordao, Minister Vital’s Chief of Staff and Mr Felipe Alexandre Gomes Sequeiros, a diplomat from Brazil’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The visit was hosted by Assistant Auditor-General Mabel Watt. During the visit, AGO officials made presentations on AGO’s role and work, thematic audits of Covid-19 related expenditure and Covid-19 grants, and procurement and contracts audits conducted by AGO.

AGO and TCU had engaging discussions on the various topics that were presented. Minister Vital do Rego Filho also met with Auditor-General Goh Soon Poh in the afternoon.
