8th ASEANSAI Senior Officials’ Meeting

Assistant Auditor-General Mabel Watt led an AGO delegation to attend the 8th ASEANSAI Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) in Manila from 9 to 10 July 2025. The Commission on Audit of the Republic of Philippines, who is the ASEANSAI Chair for 2023- 2025, hosted the biennial SOM, while the ASEANSAI Secretariat chaired the Meeting.

Key agenda items endorsed at the meeting included the ASEANSAI Strategic Plan 2026–2029, proposed amendments to the ASEANSAI Rules and Procedures, and the ASEANSAI training frameworks.

The agenda items discussed at SOM would subsequently be tabled for approval at the 8th ASEANSAI Summit in November 2025, which would be hosted by AGO as the incoming ASEANSAI Chair for 2025-2027.
