Visit to State Audit Office of Vietnam

From 8 to 10 July 2024, Auditor-General Goh Soon Poh led an AGO delegation to visit the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.

AG called on the State Auditor General of Vietnam Mr Ngo Van Tuan where both sides shared about the work and priorities of their SAIs. The delegation was accompanied by Mr Ian Tan, Deputy Chief of Mission and Counsellor for Singapore Embassy to Hanoi.

During the visit, the AGO delegation also participated in an international conference titled, “The role of Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) in Combatting Corruption for the Advancement of Transparency, Public Integrity, and Good Governance”. The conference involved plenary and panel sessions, where various speakers and participants exchanged knowledge of the local laws and roles SAIs play in the fight against corruption.

The SAI leaders who participated in the conference also visited the Vietnam National Assembly, where they were welcomed by the Chairman of the National Assembly.
