International Conference: Supreme Audit Institutions in a Changing World

Director Paul Loke and Senior Assistant Director Ong Jia Qi represented AGO at the international conference titled “Supreme Audit Institutions in a Changing World: Vision, Institutional Framework and Innovation”, organised by the State Audit Office of Vietnam (SAV) in Hanoi, Vietnam, on 27 October 2026.

During the conference, Director Paul participated as a panellist in a session on emerging audit trends, technology adoption and digital transformation, where he shared AGO’s perspectives on building digital capabilities and using data and technology to strengthen public sector auditing.

The session discussed how Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) could prepare for new audit areas, adopt data-driven audit methodologies and make responsible use of artificial intelligence. The panellists also exchanged views on data access, information security, governance and capability development to support effective digital auditing.

The conference provided an opportunity for AGO to exchange knowledge and experiences with other SAIs and strengthen professional cooperation.
