XIX Congress of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), November 5 – 10, 2007
In November 2007, Auditor-General Lim Soo Ping attended the XIX Congress of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) in Mexico City. The Auditor-General and his delegation team met up with overseas counterparts and exchanged information and ideas in both a professional and cultural context at the Congress. The Auditor-General’s Office was admitted as a member of INTOSAI at the Congress.
This Congress is held once every three years and is chaired by the hosting SAI. It offers all INTOSAI members an opportunity to share experiences, discuss issues, and pass resolutions and recommendations to improve government accountability worldwide. The topics covered in the XIX Congress mainly matters relating to management, accountability and audit of public debt as well as performance assessment systems based on universally accepted key indicators.
