Procurement and Contracts Audit

The primary objective of public procurement is to economically acquire needed goods, services and works of acceptable quality at the best prices and to provide them to the requisitioning unit when required. Proper contract management is the pre-requisite to achieve such objectives. AGO is basically concerned with determining whether the existing procedures and systems of controls are sound and adequate to ensure that standard government procurement procedures are being complied with, value-for-money is attained and project goals are achieved.

To understand more on procurement principles and practices, contracts life cycle and procurement audit methodology, AGO conducts courses which are run by our experienced procurement & contracts auditors.

"You learn something every day if you pay attention."
