Executive Programme in Performance Audit (EPPA)
Performance audit enables AGO to obtain insight into different government programmes and activities, with regard to whether public funds have been used with economy, efficiency and effectively. Arising from such audits, government bodies can better account to taxpayers, financiers, legislatures, executives and ordinary citizens the expenditure on such programmes. Performance audits thus provide answers to the questions: Do we get value for money? Is it possible to spend the money more wisely?
In September 2009, AGO Academy entered into a partnership with the National University of Singapore to launch the AGO-NUS Executive Programme in Performance Audit. The programme seeks to equip auditors with knowledge of public sector processes and skills to carry out a wide range of public sector performance audits.
