Programmes

Foundation Courses AGO Academy conducts foundation courses for new AGO staff on a half-yearly basis. We also extend invitations to other government agencies. The courses include: Public Accountability Performance (Value-For-Money) Audit Government Accounting Audit of Financial Statements (Government) Audit of Financial Statements (Statutory Board) Protection of Reserves Procurement Audit Fraud Awareness IT Governance and COBIT IT Audit Use of Excel for Auditing ACL Basic

AGO has been extending its courses and talks relating to performance (value-for-money) audits to relevant staff of ministries and statutory boards. For example, in 2009, 37 officers from ministries and statutory boards have attended AGO’s foundation course module on performance (value-for-money) auditing.

Besides classroom lessons, the participants also have the opportunity to go on a field trip as part of the foundation course.
